This listing is for a rule with cosmetic imperfections.
This ruler is
manufactured in the USA by
Products Engineering Corporation (PEC Tools), one of the last US precision
manufacturing companies. PEC quality standards are quite high. Many rules did
not meet these quality standards and are now for sale as cosmetic seconds or “blems”
at a deep discount. Most have scratches, discoloration or other blemishes. In
addition, the name brand on each rule has been ground off. PEC makes and brands
rules for numerous other tool companies, so remnants of other tool names may remain
on the rule. The measurements are good and they function accurately as
measuring tools. We guarantee that the length and graduations will be accurate
and that it will be a usable, fully functional measuring device.
So instead of recycling the steel, you
have the opportunity to own a premier tool with a “mistake” at a fraction of
retail cost. Rule does not come with a vinyl sleeve.

“Blems”
This is a Satin Chrome Flexible 6” Steel 5R rule. This rule is made in the USA by Products Engineering Company (PEC Tools), a
premier US tool manufacturer. It is made from the finest steel available and is hardened and tempered. It has a satin  chrome finish (reduces glare and prevents rust) and is precision
photo etched and then black filled for easy readability. The 5R graduations show 1/10ths and 1/100ths on one side and
32nds
and 64ths on the reverse. Rule is .500″ wide and .020” thick. Both long edges are ground flat and straight. Pictures show both sides of a rule, but only
one is up for sale at a time.
My E-Bay philosophy is
simple, you are the customer and you decide how you want to handle the deal. I
will go along with most anything as long as it is not too outrageous and you
keep me informed. If it will be a few days before you get payment to me, no problem,
just let me know so I will not worry about it being lost. I do not have any
hard and fast time lines on what happens when. I work very hard to get all packages
to the Post Office the next day after I receive payment. If for some reason
that will be delayed, I will let you know.
All my items are shipped either USPS 1st class or
Priority shipping.  I will ship another method to get it to you faster as
long as you and are willing to pay for the faster shipping.
You decide how you want to pay and I will usually go along with
it. So far all (well, most) of my dealings have been with nice, honest people.
(As I would expect) .
My satisfaction policy is also very simple, you are the customer
and you decide if you want the item. Satisfaction is guaranteed, no exceptions.
Purchase may be returned for any reason or no reason within 30 days in
original condition for a full refund. If the item is defective or for something
I did or failed to do, I will also refund the postage. If you just changed your
mind or found another one down the street, cheaper or better. I still accept
returns except you will need to pay the postage.
