PROVENANCE
In remembrance of naval Captain Robert Emery (American, 1773-1841), born in Newburyport, Essex, Massachusetts and died in Springfield, Massachusetts. Son of Margaret Emery (American, 1745-88) and Captain John Emery (American, 1745-87).
